Nice looking design,
Nice looking design, upholstered seat does not appear to be comfortable. Pattern of upholstery also resemble that of a mattress/blotter pad. Chair would be more dynamic without the upholstered seat/blotter pad or just have it at the seat area only, that way the important connect details would be seen as well as the beauty of the wood. Color of upholstery should commpliment the wood. Look at natural deer hide. It's leather is very soft and light in color, will not distract from wood grain.
